But I loved and watched every second of the making of the video over and over. I danced to that music many nights. I have enjoyed his music for most of my life and his music inspires so many ... so it is pretty sad that he is gone. Not that I expected him to do anything else in his lifetime or that it is that big of a shock after the turns his life has taken... but it is sad. Sad we lost someone so gifted... but I would suppose that we lost him years ago... but I will always be thankful for the wonderfully fun music that he left.Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-44201435757024676112009-02-06T12:13:00.000-08:002009-02-06T12:32:52.309-08:00Anyone care to swap?
So I was chatting with a neighbor here about our quaint little town. Guess what I found out... apparently, my quaint little town has a nice party life behind the private Christian schools and rich Baptist Churches. I am not referring to the coke parties for the geriatric... because that is pretty rampant. I was informed that I need to be careful with which parties I agree to attend. Swinging is alive and well here in the Midwest. I guess that there are a few couples that live in our own neighborhood that often hold these gatherings. Seriously?! That's offending! I mean they haven't even asked me yet. Really... I cannot think of anything I would rather not do. And that includes having my eyes burned out by a hot poker.
I have so many questions... So what do the invites look like? how does the switch go down? How much is drinking is involved to get you to that point? There is bound to be a guy there that nobody wants to get stuck with, what do you do then? How do you politely say, um I'd rather die than attend?
Let me just say that my town has a whole 10,000 people. How incestuous is that? What does that do for Father's day here? How can the future generations even be expected to date? I mean they may all be related... and likely are. Ugh... my head is spinning.Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-59086544523140454032009-01-05T12:50:00.000-08:002009-01-05T13:04:41.400-08:00Finally... Huh?!SO I am feeling a little more settled... I guess that why I feel like I can blog--- vent.
I have been SO Sick the past few days. I have never had food poisening (at least like this) and on Saturaday it was a doosy. I went to dinner followed by a movie (Twilight... back to that in a sec). Ten minutes into the movie Rich got called into the hospital and I was on a solo date (what's new). Halfway through the movie I knew that something was terribly wrong (Not that the movie was THAT bad... but) I had to puke in the theater's public bathroom. Oh... and it was not any puke... I have not puked this much EVER... and I have been pregnant 4 times! It was aweful... I had to rinse out my hair clean my glasses and wash off my shirt... still at the theater... alone!!! I finished and returned to the movie.
I texted Rich to hurry because I was now in need of a doctor and he got there just as the movie ended. I made it home and started the puking all over again. Rich is laughing asking if I needed to go to the ER. HA! Yes... I considered that after I threw up the water and ibuprophen. I did not have to suffer alone for long. Rich was just 2 hours after me... HA! Now who is laughing... well not quite yet I was still suffering. I tried to go to church the next day... HA! That did not work... so I returned home and laid in bed the rest of the day. I decided to finish the twilight series ... Breaking Dawn. For over 750 pages... it read really fast.

Here is the thing. The idea is novel. I like the idea (I realize I am treading on thin ice with the rabid Twilight fans). I just feel like there was not a lot of followthrough... It just felt like a lot of fluff without any substance to sink my teeth into... HA! I really wish it had been fulfilling. Not so much. Oh well...Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-85880102507202749202008-10-27T10:10:00.000-07:002008-10-27T10:12:06.537-07:00Ty... I have such amazing friends and it is always wonderful to be able to get together and just spend time together. Since we all are moving around and are no longer in close proximity to each other it is harder to carve out time to get together. This weekend we were able to make it work... and it was fabulous!!

We first went to a beading store where we made a air of earrings and then made duplicates of that earring for each friend. We then went to dinner and then finally made it to the Counting Crows/ Maroon 5 concert. HOW FUN!

The Counting Crows were okay... I have now seen them twice... and both times Adam Duritz has been smashed to the point of incoherence. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Maroon 5 concert. They were so polished and really, really great. Adam Levine was even a little hot... I honestly never thought that would be possible, who knew?! Here is a you tube clip of one of my favorite parts... (forgive the quality)

Now... here is a little quiz. I am going to post photos... albeit, bad ones... and you have to match the set of earrings to the designer. I will include initials and a short personality blurb... if that helps. My husband was even able to match them.. so it should be fairly easy!

1.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimQfq8tHEtR0K8QTiihU_gbGI_yTL1cZnrY4fmppGCQBzkF1Gwa-i4N8yuTCHMBW2Asy8vatbXFM4RitSfjBJ9HZSMDK4u3slV151jFuwWVaC4tQMD1iIsqnFu__NDCLD-bjAikNEL-hD3/s200/100_1633_edited.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251474445156096114" />

2.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzeIyJNntAGTXsD4KCHilugWpZXjqRBQQwd0frdSi9VGe59v1KvpQnf6MJSQbD0OncloRJx2pvUm1l2HRCZa4ZGJ9Sqd9aGzrZhP3xarMb-OQScyV92qQwa1gaxk9xEIrNrTbEgEXXGHz5/s200/100_1634_edited.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251474448888685378" />

3.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlEAKo_l49hCSIGKdMLdUryE4opJ-LI4EkSl-5dfq6WwGsGfpZ9CZMo4NE5mf2jIS4GEkh3j-gyny7UUlIwmmq89jIrKWA9mS08koqVkD4kKYpiSOnGUGgO7FZedkq8T55LN4H6qcYuKhe/s200/100_1635_edited.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251474459236328546" />

4.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPqLb_64E_sRA3P4d7AAC8Ewl1HYvG8EJImmptdeFDOfxotZCBV6AioJxYhOOF0qpKPVw5JctUhV3e4qp323db2sMIDSNcJKx3ZDexXa7I6pYVk-LAry83Y-mq_cjlnBI8vTr-fkO7CRwz/s200/100_1636_edited.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251474465620731682" />

5.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3gQ-gUdWLAEjWUybt5Oreu6vYRY64YgbUizB2tYbS3QX9HKTYzE-oLMh88r740uqPqTWk0DzHcW4LaaidooFYGIdOWghTgplwmxLZzdJIkTa-P7pegOEueI3F52plZmP66EZv8LBZVdXS/s200/100_1637_edited.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251474468170312386" />

6.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCDXYXQAGktlO7RcGvFQOCp7cbA11dY2b1Dz-QBrtCrA7ortYaQeKogkO_IfUI0nqGJxjTtDjpkShCsMIhQcncUGA_j1vw1jhRrB82gp6qLbtNT0X_FdseKufApTyEgBi9sFToIGb0c3YJ/s200/100_1639_edited.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251474697119516786" />

These are very simplistic definitions. Missouri is very beautiful with the rolling hills, lakes and abundant trees. However, I have reached my limit with all of the bugs. They are everywhere. They are HUGE and most of the time they are unidentifiable.

Here is a bug's exoskeleton... yes it is now bigger!!! UGHH!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAR6DvHTUD3vm1TJZapbxrfnoBo1z5cws3WJYOJl8h5hgK1r3RlOqtIEkFpdBn-XrJEOdTs-sEUJovmB0GEro8ORBORnRu9Ax5osuONNn3USU8UYqr_nd78ev2QclLCefsuURafoNaTyTn/s200/100_1540.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249699816653643810" />

This is a spider that set up house in a tree right outside our condo.. in about 2 hours. They make me laugh... a lot! So I had to post this little nugget from last night's Colbert Report that talked about Michelle Obama's Speech and the coverage after. I felt that it tied in nicely to my last blog and to the question of WHY,oh why do people (in this case Fox News) have to lie and/ or put words in their mouths if the case against Obama is so strong?!

** Note to Neil. I have a great deal of respect for John McCain and for Barak Obama. I think that they both have good intentions and will do what they feel is best for the country, which is a welcome change from the current Presidency's self serving agenda.
You expect the commentators on both sides of the spectrum to come up with talking points why one should or shouldn't be elected. I find it completely respectable to disagree with a person's voting record... or with a particular plan that you don't like in order to vote against someone or for someone for that matter.
Although, I am so offended by someone that says that they are not voting for a person because of "insert ridiculous lie or scare tactic mentioned in the last radio talk show". I have heard the most ridiculous things as of late about why people are not/ should not vote for Barak Obama. Seriously... can you not find something of real substance to talk about on these radio shows that you need to resort to complete fiction? The most shocking thing is that people... smart, educated people... buy into this crap. My husband came home and said that while at work "people" were talking about how we shouldn't vote for Obama because in the scriptures it says that the devil will ride in on a white horse... and Obama's mother was white. Are you kidding me?! This stuff makes me crazy!! Not because people say it... there will always be idiots spouting hate and bigotry... but that people actually will listen to it and spread it around as if it were true.
At a hospital I would expect that they would be more concerned with his Health Care plan and maybe that would be an interesting topic to get behind... but what do I know?Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-74724158877307924052008-08-08T11:48:00.000-07:002008-08-08T12:07:48.059-07:00A fond farewell to my favorite show... until next time!
So last night was the end... ant least until next summer. Oh, how I love "So You Think You Can Dance". It is such an amazing show. There is all this attention on artists that are rarely recognized. American Idol is all about the singers... which is fine... but this is so great because you not only spotlight the amazing dancers and their crazy talent, but you also get to spotlight the wicked awesome choreographers. It makes household names of these artists that have previously been unrecognized. I also think it is great because it can really spotlight a song that I would never take notice of. Whether it be an unknown artist or a very popular artist that I would normally stay away from. I just love it.
So here is a really fun article on ew.com that runs through their favorites from the last 4 seasons. It is a good place to start for those that have never seen it... but you should see the group routines...AMAZING!! (You will have to cut and paste to your browser... since I cannot figure out how to make a link, yet)
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20217423,00.html?iid=top25-20080808-%27SYTYCD%27%3A+15+greatest+routines

This are two of my favorites that did not make the ew list.. so I thought I would paste it here... enjoy!
The first is a Shane Sparks routine (missed him this year) for the top 16 of the second season. Music is classic!!

The next is another Shane Sparks routine to Neyo (I would have never listened to this... but it is now on my ipod because of this dance) Allison and Ivan from the second season were so fun in this.
Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-76252371909681769242008-07-11T16:42:00.000-07:002008-07-11T16:58:59.152-07:00Parades v. FireworksSo what is your favorite? After attending both this past weekend I have decided that I have just about had it with the parades. For the first time in Idaho Falls they did away with throwing candy! What is that about? That was the most fun of the parades! So now we just sit there in the Sun with impatient children watching politicians wave from their cheesy convertibles and bad high school bands with matching cheerleaders. UUGHH.
Fireworks still payoff... but it is still pretty rough with the small kids to wait for hours... but they enjoy it when it all goes down... or up rather. Here is one of my favorite comedians giving his opinion of just this question. I love it!
Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-55774800696163470612008-06-17T12:13:00.000-07:002008-06-17T12:27:05.213-07:00Packing/ Moving... Fun TimesAs I pack up and find all of the lost remotes, I have a chance to reflect a little. It is stressful... but at the same time really nice to get things organized.
Part of me would just love to throw out everything and start from scratch (especially with all the stuff in the kitchen, seriously packing up cheap dishes is a joke. We should just get new ones!).
How many crappy toys do my children own that they never play with?

I should be used to it. We have moved 7 times in the last 10 years, but I'm not. This is a harder move than usual. I am leaving a great group of friends that have been an amazing support to me. I am moving to a new tiny town that I am not completely behind. I am taking my children away from good Friends. I just hope and pray that we can adjust. Truth is I am plain scared! I am scared for my children and for me. I am sure that there is a reason that we are moving there... I just don't know it yet.

Wish me luck!Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-76500524804304309302008-06-12T15:56:00.000-07:002008-06-12T20:55:25.507-07:00This would be the car for Richard....IN HELL!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDYastW9gieZpQDYdUKEM800W59s6IUEYZa3XSXQk7117v8ETsmXZlBN0U3mmairYkqep_zTxLSX8DQ6Vw4JEZdZJYtTQ7qzS0ccEYOE316FduTEfnusM3sZy4RQI1NLXQdazmk7k1B3UA/s200/100_1248.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211137099191962146" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoomigOrTDnwlBAvRD1Gk3gPiOUg797rci2AnevvZ3g5_QMPW1ukSJxzTShz7_D5zI1A2LtnYlrDj6ytUaHkb1fn5YVrR_-S9_UQM1jEnAi74zPZSqmugxYYV5cJ0tjneH2TyolWhVOP62/s200/100_1249.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211137106067315922" />
So here is the thing about Richard... He HATES, HATES, HATES stickers or generally anything that has properties of sticking. Most of all he hates band-aids, dirty ones that always tend to fall off in showers or around pools. They really freak him out(I know... funny thing for a doctor...), but that is neither here nor there!

I saw this car today in a parking lot, I have no doubt that the owner was out looking for the next thing that he could stick on his car. I guess everyone does have their something. At least it makes him easy to shop for!

*Quick, funny related story:
In my daughter's class a child sent in really fancy, glittery stickers... only they didn't have enough for all the kids, they were one short. So quickly my daughter chimmed in and let them know that she did not need a sticker, because her dad would make her throw it in the garbage if he caught her with it. HA! Poor girl!Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-62373521260825707522008-05-28T14:52:00.000-07:002008-05-28T15:09:23.073-07:00A new set of StationaryI found this little gem of a stationary web site that I just had to share. So if you go to prettybitter.com. You can see all the fun stuff that it has to offer.

For instance you can get gift tag stickers that read" Warning: May cause Homosexual Tendencies."

Or the "Man Notes" That point out that writing notes is already emasculating enough...

Or the Sentimental Cards that are laugh out loud hysterical... if you read them.

*Warning... this little stationary store is not your average Hallmark offerings. It freaked me out sufficiently... so I was going to call my workout good... but my husband told me to keep going, it was just a fluke and tv's burn out. (Okay, But aren't they usually on when they burn out? I'm just saying.)
So against my better judgement, I start to jog again. I'm one and a half miles in to my 2 mile run and the treadmill is set at a brisk "8", when all of the sudden the treadmill goes crazy!!! Seriously, it started to speed up faster, faster, faster... I push stop... it won't stop! Now this is when it happened, I have no idea where it came from, I started screaming. Not like I have ever screamed before! It was like I was being chased by Neo Cons in a nightmare, scream!
For the rest of the day I was shaky... It was not like I thought the treadmill was all turning into a Steven King novel villian, it just freaked me out!

Now on to the later part of the week. I have felt AWFUL! Just yucky. Nothing in particular, just aches and a high UFO... okay it is actually a FUO (Fever of Unidetified Origin, I just liked using the UFO acronym better.)! So to add to things that I have never done before.. I woke up soaking wet with sweat! Gross, I know! UGghh... It has just been one of those weeks.Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024649299839006186.post-72852235087465249242008-04-09T08:56:00.001-07:002008-04-09T09:04:51.476-07:00It's a different worldSo I pick my eight year old up from school and she says to me, "My friend's dad had surgery on his hips so that he can be a mom now."
ME:(!?!?)Trying to play it cool... "What? Really?"
Whit: "Yep, He has mom parts now."
ME: (Second Grade... Really) "Hmmm..."

Now I know that conversation is not going to win me mother of the year but...
How do you react to that?! Seriously?!

Once she was out of the car I called as many people that I could. See that is my reaction... WTF!!

I am not really worried about Whit... she is a mellow kid and I can talk to her, if I need to explain, or whatever... but I feel for the little second grade friend. Can you imagine trying to handle that?Crazedhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03201112262156104785noreply@blogger.com0
